General Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

The first few days/weeks this process will take a long time. As time goes on the process will run more smoothly. Please be patient.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Please do not use your cell phones while dropping off or picking up your children. Do not use cell phones after the students have been dismissed.

  • Please follow the direction of all staff and volunteers directing traffic and assisting students.

  • Please leave the crosswalks clear. Do not stop on them. Please make note of all crosswalks on the school grounds. We will have staff to help the students stay safe but the drivers must as well.

  • Please pull close to the car in front of you so fewer cars will be potentially blocking Stadium Drive.

  • Parents/Guardians must have a pickup card on display in order to pick up students.

  • The Montessori Curriculum teaches Grace and Courtesy. Please serve as models of Grace of Courtesy to your children during arrival and dismissal.

  • Our procedures are based on protecting the safety of our students and staff; as well as consideration for our school neighbors and fellow drivers.

ARRIVAL

  • The Arrival Lines begin at 7:30 AM and ends at 7:50 AM*. We do not have staff to watch the children before 7:30 AM.

  • Please do not expect to be on time if you arrive at the school at 7:50 AM. When everyone arrives at 7:50 AM the line is very long. Please plan to arrive long before 7:50 AM.

  • If you arrive after 7:50 AM please park and walk your student(s) into the Front Office. The Primary doors will be locked at 7:50 AM.

CRYSTAL KNOLL WALKERS AND BIKERS

Families and students who live in Crystal Knoll and will be crossing Stadium Drive on foot or bike will be escorted across daily by school staff members at 7:45 AM and 3:15 PM.
